Johnson Community Event

On Tuesday, August 6th, 2019, the City of Johnson will be hosting and participating in “National Night Out”. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that has been ongoing for 36 years across the nation to promote strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood relationships to make our neighborhoods safer and a more caring place to live.

This will be the City of Johnson’s 1st Annual National Night Out. With this event, we can make this happen! What better way to do this than neighbors throughout the City of Johnson turn on their porch lights and spend the evening outside with fellow neighbors, friends, family, law enforcement, firefighters, business owners, and city officials.

This is a family event for children and adults of all ages. We are looking to have activities such as live music, face painting, bounce houses, dunk tank, water balloon fights with your local law enforcement and firefighters, talent show, raffle prizes and food vendors. However, we are looking for ideas from you on what you would like for activities, so please comment.

Also, we are looking for volunteers to team up with us to make this happen. Again, this is all about building relationships all while having a great time together! We will keep everyone updated as it gets closer to time.

A Volunteer Sign-up Form has been placed at the Johnson City Hall or you can contact the Johnson Police Department at (479) 521-3192 and speak with Chief Woods or email him inquiries at
