AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A NEW ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS TO BE KNOWN AS KENSINGTON
ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF JOHNSON,
ARKANSAS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
JOHNSON, ARKANSAS
THAT WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Planning
Commission of Johnson, Arkansas, a plat of certain land in the City of Johnson,
Washington County, Arkansas being more particularly described as followed, to-wit:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the SE 1/4 to the SW 1/4 of Section 15, Township 17North,
Range 30 West, of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Washington County, Arkansas, and
being more particularly described as follows, to wit:
BEGINNING at a stone, marking theNW corner of the SE 1/4 of the
SW 1/4 of said Section 15, THENCE NS9'33' 38"E 1311.31 feet to a point along the
Westerly right-of-way line of Carley Road; THENCE along said right-of-way
SOO'20'14"E 299.00 feet to a point; THENCE away from said right-of-way
S 89'33'38"W 1059.10 feet to the point; THENCE N61* 55' 49"W 126.52 feet:
THENCE S28 04' 11"W 89.88 feet to a tangential curve to the right, having a radius of
50.00 feet, an arch length of 105.40 feet, and a long cord of S88'27'24"W 86.94 feet to a
point; THENCE NSS'50'38"E 6.69 feet to a point along the Westerly line of the SE 1/4
of the SW 1/4 of said section 15; THENCE along said westerly line NOT 09'22'W
319.38 feet to the POINT-OF-BEGINNING, containing 8.97 acres more or less, subject
to all rights-of-way and easements, recorded and unrecorded.
AND WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has approved the plat as presented
by Petitioner, and has approved the dedication of streets, rights-of-way and utility
easements as shown upon said plat and join with the said petitioner in petitioning the City
Council to accept said Kensington Addition, to the City of Johnson, Arkansas.
AND WHEREAS, a hearing was held upon the acceptance of said plat by the City
Planning Commission, and that there appeared no protest to the acceptance and
dedication;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Johnson,
Arkansas, that the Kensington Addition as shown on the plat approved by the City
Planning Commission, a copy of which is attached to this Ordinance and made a part
hereof as though set out herein word for word, be and the same is hereby accepted by the
City of Johnson, Washington County, Arkansas, and the City hereby accepts for the use
and benefit to the public, the dedications contained therein of the streets, rights-of-way
and utility easements.
It is determined by the City Council of Johnson, Arkansas, that an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and that this Ordinance, being necessary for the immediate
preservation of their public peace, health, and safety, shall be in effect immediately from
the date of passage and approval.
