Ordinance 1996-16

AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION.

AND MOVING OF TEMPORARY STORAGE BUILDING, TO DECLARE AN

EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the City Council of Johnson, Arkansas deems it necessary to have a

plan to control the construction, installation and moving of temporary storage buildings

or sheds, and;

WHEREAS, the City Council of Johnson, Arkansas has determined the need to

revise the Ordinance No. 94-14, governing the development of subdivisions, and;

WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission o Johnson, Arkansas has agreed to

the stated amendment;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JOHNSON,

ARKANSAS in regular session assembled as follows;

SECTION ONE: The City of Johnson, Arkansas hereby adopts the size of the

temporary buildings to be constructed or installed, without a building permit, to be no

greater than one hundred sixty square feet.

SECTION TWO: No more than one temporary building may be constructed,

installed or moved on any one lot within the City of Johnson, Arkansas without an

approved variance,

SECTION THREE: No temporary building may be placed on commercial

property without an approved variance.

SECTION FOUR: Emergency Clause: Therefore, in order to prevent dangerous

situations from being created within Johnson, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared

to exist and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace,

health, and safety shall be in full force and effect from the date of its approval.
