AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION AND BOUNDARIES REGARDING
PROPERTY IDENTIFIED ON RE-ZONING PETITION NO.
97-100 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST,
Be it ordained by the City of Johnson, Arkansas;
SECTION ONE: The zone classification of the following described
property changed from A-l to R-l, low-density
residential.

DESCRIPTION: A 13.429 acre tract of land located on the west
side of Carley Rd., south of Kensington Subdivision
Phases I & II.

SECTION TWO
A certain tract of land being all of the Southeast
Quarter (SE|) of the Southwest Quarter (SWJ) of
Section 15, Township 17 North, Range 30 West, of
the 5th Principal Meridian, Washington County,
Arkansas, being more, particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a pinched end pipe found at the
Southwest corner of the SE^ of the SW-fc of said
Section 15, Thence N 01°09'22"W 440.25 feet to a
point; Thence N 89°33'38" E 1327.02 feet to a point
on Carley Road; Thence along Carley Road
SOO°20'06"W 445.27 feet to a found square inch
rebar; Thence away from Carley Road S89°46'45"W
1315.51 feet to the Point-of-Beginning, containing
13.429 acres (584,952 sq.ft.) more or less, subject
to all rights-of-way and easements, recorded and
not recorded.
That the official Zoning District map of the City
of Johnson, Arkansas is hereby amended to reflect
the zoning change in section one above.
SECTION THREE: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: The City Council determines that
an emergency exists and this ordinance, being
necessary for the preservation of the health,
safety, and welfare of the citizens of Johnson,
Arkansas shall be effective immediately upon its
passage, approval, publication, and recording of a
certified copy thereof with the Recorder of
Washington County, Arkansas.
