ORDINANCE NO. 2003-06
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION AND BOUNDARIES REGARDING
PROPERTY IDENTIFIED IN REZON1NG PETITIONNO. 2003 -15
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has passed Rezoning Petition No. 2003-15 and
recommended to the City Council passage of an ordinance to rezone the described property from R-1
to R-3;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JOHNSON,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the zone classification of the following described property be changed
from R-l to R-3:
A PART OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 17 NORTH,
RANGE 30 WEST, OF THE FIFTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, WASHINGTON
COUNTY, ARKANSAS, AND BEING DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 2: That the official Zoning District's map of the City of Johnson, Arkansas is
hereby amended to reflect the zoning change in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3: After considering the impact and value development of the above described
property will have on that particular area of Johnson and the City as a whole, the Council determined
that the peace, welfare and safety of the citizens will be improved and therefore an emergency is
hereby declared to exist, this ordinance shall be immediately effective upon its passage and approval.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
GREENLAND, THAT an emergency exists, immediate passage and implementation of this Ordinance
is necessary for the efficient administration of City business and to preserve the public peace, health,
safety and welfare of the citizens of Johnson, Arkansas, and therefore, this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
