AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION AND BOUNDARIES REGARDING
PROPERTY IDENTIFIED IN REZONINGPETITIONNO. 2005-01
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has passed Rezoning Petition No. 2005-01 and
recommended to the City Council passage of an ordinance to rezone the described property from R-1
toR-3;
BE
ARKANSAS:
ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JOHNSON.
SECTION 1: That the zone classification of the following described property be changed
fromR-ltoR-3:
Lots 7 - 1 3 in Block 3 of Diven's Addition to the City of Johnson. Washington
County, Arkansas and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a found iron pin at the Northeast Corner of said Lot 7, thence S 6° 17'
45" W along the east line of said Block 3 a distance of 75.00 feet to a found iron pin
at the Southeast Comer of said Lot 9; thence continuing along said East line S 6" 17'
45" W - 75.00 feet to a found iron pin at the Southeast Corner of said Lot 12; thence
continuing along the East line of said Block 3 S 6" 17'45" W-25.00 feet to a set iron
pin at the Southeast Corner of said lot 13; thence along the South line of said Lot 13
N SO" 50' 23" W - 142.59 feel to the Southwest Comer of said Lot 13 from which a
set reference iron pin bears S 80" 50' 23" E -10.00 feet; thence along the West line
of said Block 3 N 9° 121 55" E- 99.88 feet to the Northwest Comer of said Lot 10
from which a found reference iron pin bears S 80° 50' 23" E- 10.00 feet; thence
continuing along said West line ofN 9° 12' 55" E -74.90 feet to the Northwest Comer
of said Lot 7 from which a set reference iron pin bears S 80° 50' 23" E - 10.00 feet;
thence along the North line of said Lot 7 S 80° 50' 23" E -133.68 feet to the point of
beginning, containing 0.55 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2: That the official Zoning District's map of the City of Johnson, Arkansas is
hereby amended to reflect the zoning change in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3: After considering the impact and value development of the above described

property will have on that particular area of Johnson and the City as a whole, the Council determined
that the peace, welfare and safety of the citizens will be improved and therefore an emergency is
hereby declared to exist, this ordinance shall be immediately effective upon its passage and approval.
