 ORDINANCE NO. 2007-17
AN ORDINANCE SETTING SUBMITTAL DEADLINES FOR
ALL PROCEEDINGS AND MATTERS TO BE BROUGHT
BEFORE THE JOHNSON PLANNING COMMISSION
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND/OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, from time to time various ordinances and/or resolutions of the City of
Johnson that dealt with either proceedings before or matters that were to be presented to the Johnson Planning established times for submittal of those requests, plats or other documents to City Officials.
WHEREAS; some confusions has arisen due to the various ordinances and/or resolutions
and differing submittal deadlines.
WHEREAS: the City now has a Building Official and City Engineers which must review
and/or approve many aspects of these requests and/or plats, etc.
WHEREAS, the City Council upon recommendation of the Building Official, the
Recorder-Treasurer, the City Engineers and the Planning Commission desires to standardize
submittal times for requests and other matters to be decided or considered by the Planning
commission to assure that there is adequate time for the City to property study and evaluate each
matter.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS, That:
Section 1: That after the 14th day of December 2007. all requests, petitions,
matters and issues to be presented to the Johnson Planning Commission shall be delivered to/filed with the Recorder-Treasurer and/or Building Official at Johnson City Hall by 16:00 hours on the first business day of the calendar month in order to be considered by the Planning Commission at its regular meeting to be held that calendar month.
Section 2: The foregoing submitted deadline shall control all requests for variances,
conditional uses, preliminary plats, final plats, rezonings, annexations, large scale development.
PUD's. appeals from the decision of the Building Official. Land Use Plans. Master Street Plans,
lot splits, and any other matter which requires a decision or approval by the Planning
Commission.
Section 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
