Ordinance 2008-17

AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A NEW ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS TO BE KNOWN AS
MAVERICK COMMERCIAL PARK, AN ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF JOHNS ON.
THAT WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Planning Commission of
Johnson, Arkansas, a final plat of certain lands in the City of Johnson, Washington County,
Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
All of Lots 1 and 3 of Lot Spilt of Maverick Addition recorded as File #23-289
and all of Lots 4, 5, and 6 of the Lot Split of Lot 2 of Maverick Addition recorded
as File #23A-309, both in the Circuit Clerk's Office of Washington County,
Arkansas being also described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the above said Lot 3 being a set 5/8" rebar
w/cap (PS 1496); thence S24°57'46"W, crossing the Southeast corner of the
above said Lot 3 being a found 5/8" rebar w/cap (PS 1534) at 320.80 feet and
continuing for a total distance of 334.28 feet to a found 1/2" rebar; thence
S68°10'48"W, along the East line of the above said Lot 4, a distance of 161.25

Greathouse Springs Road in a Southeasterly direction along the arc of a curve to
the right having a radius of 1200.00 feet, an arc length of 139.91 feet, a delta
angle of 6°40'4S", and a chord bearing and distance of S62°58/02"E 139.83 feet to
a found 5/8" rebar w/cap (PS 1534); thence S59°37'39"E, continuing along the
above said South right-of-way line of Greathouse Springs Road, crossing a found
5/8" rebar w/cap (PS 1534) at 88.19 feet and continuing for a total distance of
221.39 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 1,071,418 square feet or
24.60 acres, more or less.
AND WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has approved the final plat presented by
Municip*l/coj Maverick Final Plat Ord.
Petitioner with specified conditions and joins with the said Petitioner in petitioning the City
Council to accept Maverick Commercial Park, as an addition to the City of Johnson, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS:
SECTION.!: That Maverick Commercial Park, as shown on the final plat approved by
the City Planning Commission, a copy of which is attached to this Ordinance and made a part
hereof as though set out herein word for word, be and the same is hereby accepted by the City of
Johnson, Washington County, Arkansas.
SECTION 2: That the hereby accepts for the use and benefit of the public, the
dedications contained in the Final Plat of streets, roads, right-of-ways, utility/other easements
and public areas.
