AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 117 THE SAME BEING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS,
AND THE PLAT PERTAINING THERETO, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES."
WHEREAS, the Johnson Planning Commission of the Town of
Johnson, Arkansas, Washington County, gave the notice required by
law and set a hearing date of November 1, 1993, for hearing the
matter of redistricting the hereinafter described tract of real
estate:

 

Part of the NW% of the SE% and part of the
SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of Section 15, T17N, R30W of
the Fifth Principal Meridian in Washington
County, Arkansas and being more particularly
described as follows; Commencing at the S.W.
Corner of said SW1/4, SE1/4 thence N O° 11' 16" E
380.00 Feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, thence
N 0° 11' 16" E 936.56 Feet, thence N 0° II'
16" E 880.00 Feet, thence N 89° 17' 11" E
941.59 Feet, thence S 0° 03' 22" W 875.71
Feet, thence N 89° 31' 33" E 371.23 Feet,
thence S 0° 04' 03" W 1328.60 Feet, thence S
89 ° 41' 38" W 976.28 Feet, thence NORTH
378.18 Feet, thence WEST 340.00 Feet to the
P.O.B.; Containing 56.02 Acres more or less
subject to easements and R/W of record.

 

AND WHEREAS, after notice as required by law, the Johnson
Planning Commission of the Town of Johnson, Arkansas, held a
hearing and after hearing arguments for and against such rezoning
and the Johnson Planning Commission feeling that the area
described herein should be redistricted and changed, from
Agricultural to Residential One in that the purposes of that
Zoning Ordinance would more properly be carried out by such
redistricting, and that unless granted, citizens of Johnson will
suffer irreparable harm and damage, and will be substantially
deprived of the use of their property.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL of the Town of
Johnson, Arkansas:
SECTION .l_i_ Ordinance No. 117, the Amendments thereto, and
the Zoning Plat pertaining thereto of the Town of Johnson,
Arkansas, are hereby amended by rezoning the hereinafter
described tract from Agricultural to Residential One as follows:

SECTION 2: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: The City Council determines
that an emergency exists and this Ordinance, being necessary for
the preservation of the health, safety, and welfare of the
citizens of Johnson, Arkansas, shall be in effect from and after
its approval, passage, publication and the recording of a
certified copy thereof with the Recorder of Washington County,
Arkansas.
