AN ORDINANCE SETTING STANDARD MECHANICAL
FEES FOR ELECTRICAL, GAS, PLUMBING AND
HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING
INSPECTIONS WITHIN JOHNSON, ARKANSAS;
TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.

 

WHEREAS, the Town Council deems it necessary for the purpose
of promoting the health, safety, and general welfare of the
citizens of Johnson, Arkansas to have electrical, gas, plumbing
and heating and air conditioning inspections; and
WHEREAS, the cost to the Town for inspecting is now in
excess of the fees charged; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Town to increase fees to be
paid for mechanical inspections to off set the cost involved,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE
TOWN OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS AS FOLLOWS:

 

SECTION I: MECHANICAL INSPECTION FEES
The following fee schedule shall be followed when issuing
permits for initial installation or major repair for electrical,
gas, and heating and air conditioning work.
A. Electric Inspections
1. Meter service
2. One to five Outlets
3. Six to ten outlets
4. Additional outlets
5. Concrete floor
6. Re-inspection fee (each trip)
B. Plumbing
1. One fixture
2. Two fixtures
3. Three fixtures
4. Four fixtures
5 . Five fixtures
6. Six fixtures
1. Seven fixtures
8. Additional fixtures (each)
9. Concrete floor
10. Outside city
11. Re-inspection fee (each trip)

SECTION II: EXISTING FEES
Any fees contained in the Johnson Code of Ordinances in
conflict with the fees listed in Section I of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
SECTION III: INSPECTIONS
All inspections must be ready when called for. If an extra
trip is necessary/ there will be an additional minimum charge of
$25.00 for each additional trip. All inspections shall be called
for well in advance as the City Inspector must plan his work in
an efficient manner.
SECTION IV: EMERGENCY CLAUSE
It is hereby declared that an emergency exists and this
Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the health,
safety, and welfare of the citizens of Johnson, Arkansas, shall
become effective upon its passage, approval, and publication.
