AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND
BOUNDARIES REGARDING PROPERTY IDENTIFIED IN ZONING PETITION
NO. 94-6
WHEREAS, the Johnson Planning Commission of the City
of Johnson, Arkansas, Washington County, gave the notice
required by law and set a hearing date of ________,
1994 , for hearing the matter of redistricting the
hereinafter described tract of real estate:
SURVEY DESCRIPTION: JOHNSON CITY LIMITS: A PART OF THE
SW 1/4 OF THE NE 1/4 OF SECTION 23, T-17-N, R-30-W IN
WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE SW CORNER OF SAID 40
ACRE TRACT, SAID POINT BEING A FOUND STONE; THENCE NO 59
00"W 764.28 FEET TO THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY OF JOHNSON ROAD;
THENCE ALONG SAID SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY N85 00' 37"E 335.18
FEET TO THE WEST LINE OF THE FAYETTEVILLE CORPORATE LIMITS;
THENCE ALONG SAID WEST LINE THE FOLLOWING: SOI 12'16"W
281.47 FEET; S3 40'17"E 324.43 FEET; S8 27' 15"E 185.16
FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID SW 1/4 OF THE NE 1/4; THENCE
S89 12'43" W 362.90 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING,
CONTAINING 5.97 ACRES MORE OR LESS, AND BEING SUBJECT TO ANY
PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS AS PER RECORD.
AND WHEREAS, after notice as required by law, the
Johnson Planning Commission of the City of Johnson,
Arkansas, held a hearing and after hearing arguments for and
against such rezoning, and the Johnson Planning Commission
finding that the area described herein should be
redistricted and changed, from R-l to C-l , in that the
purposes of that Zoning Ordinance would more properly be
carried out by such redistricting, and that unless granted,
citizens of Johnson will suffer irreparable harm and damage,
and will be substantially deprived of the use of their
property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Petition No. 94-6 the Amendments thereto,
and the Zoning Plat pertaining thereto of the City of
Johnson, Arkansas, are hereby amended by rezoning the
hereinbefore described tract as follows:
From R-l to C-l_ Zone.
SECTION 2: EMERGENCY CLAUSE: The City Council
determines that an emergency exists and this Ordinance,
being necessary for the preservation of the health, safety,
and welfare of the citizens of Johnson, Arkansas, shall be
effective immediately upon its passage, approval,
publication, and the recording of a certified copy thereof
with the Recorder of Washington County, Arkansas,
