AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A REVOLVING CASH
FUND IN THE CITY OF JOHNSON, WASHINGTON
COUNTY, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSESWHEREAS,
the City Council for the City of Johnson, Arkansas
has determined that there is no means available to reimburse city
officials for expenditures involved in the performance of their
official duties in and for the City of Johnson, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a fund needs
to be set forth to allow for the reimbursement of city officials
for expenditures made by them in their official capacity in and
for the City of Johnson, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIKED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE
CITY OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS:
Section i: That there hereby is created a revolving cash
fund, not to exceed the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) as
authorized by A.C.C. 14-58-71. :
Section 2: That the revolving cash fund authorized by
this Ordinance shall be deposited in a local bank and maintained
in a checking account.
Section 3: Disbursements From Funds.
a. Disbursements made from the revolving cash fund
shall be by check, signed by the Mayor and
countersigned by the City Clerk.
b. Disbursements shall not exceed the sum of Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00).
Section 4: Appropriations For Funds. After the initial
appropriation for the revolving cash fund, any subsequent
appropriation to .replenish the cash fund in the fund, shall be
made by appropriation by the City Council, specifying the items
that have been paid from the funds.
Section. 5.: No expenditures shall be made from the funds
until such time as a receipt 'has been submitted by the city
official and that receipt has been authorized for payment by the
City Council.

Section 6: If any section, provision, or paragraph of
this Ordinance shall be declared invalid, such, invalidity shall
not be construed to affect the portion not so affected.
Section 7: Emergency Clause. The City Council for the
City of Johnson, hereby finds that an emergency exists and this
Ordinance being necessary for the preservation, public health,
safety, and welfare of the citizens of Johnson, Arkansas, and
shall be in effect immediately upon its passage, approval and
publication.
