AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 160
TO REFLECT THE CORRECT LEGAL DESCRIPTION
FOR THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE
NO. 160, AND ALSO PROPERTY IDENTIFIED IN THE
CITY OF JOHNSON ZONING PETITION NO. 95-10.
WHEREAS, the legal description described in Ordinance Number 160 was
inaccurate and the City, at this time, has been provided with the correct legal description of
said property and
WHEREAS, the correct legal description is vitally needed to file the proper plat
with the Office of the Circuit Clerk of Washington County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JOHNSON,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the zoned classification of the following described property
changed from Agricultural I to Industrial.
Legal Description: Part of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of the Northeast
Quarter (NE l/4)of Section Twenty-eight (28), Township Seventeen (17) North. Range
Thirty (30) West. Washington County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as
follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of the
Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4); thence SOO 18'09" E Along Ihe East line of said 40 acre tract
450.0 feel to the point of beginning; thence SOO 18'09" E 209.12 feet; (hence S89 44'46"
W 500.76 feet to the East right-of-way of U.S. Highway 71; thence N23 56'53" W along
said right-of-way 518.60 feet; thence N18 3703" W along said right-of-way 194.95 feet;
thence leaving said right-of-way N89 48'12" E 286.02 feet; thence sOO 18'09" E 450.00 '
feet; thence N89 46'55" E to the point of beginning, containing 4.73 acres more or less,
Wasliinglon County, Arkansas.
This amended Ordinance is necessary in that the original Ordinance Number 160
contained errors in the original legal description.
SECTION 2: That the official zoning districts map of the City of Johnson.
Arkansas is hereby amended to reflect the zoning change in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3: That the official zoning petition be amended to reflect the corrected
legal description as noted above.

SECTION 4: EMERGENCY CLAUSE The City Council determines that an
emergency exists and this Ordinance, being necessary; for the preservation of the health.
safety, and welfare of the citizens of Johnson , Arkansas shall be effective immediately
upon its passage, approval, publication, and recording of a certified copy thereof with
Recorder of the Washington County, Arkansas.
