AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 23
SAME BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF JOHNSON.
WHEREAS, Steele Industries, Inc., an Arkansas Corporation filed
its petition praying that the City Council of the City of Johnson
grant a variance in Ordinance No. 23, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Johnson, Washington
County, Arkansas, set a hearing date of March 4, 1975,

the date for the hearing of the matter of the granting of a
variance, and considering amendments to Ordinance 23, and
WHEREAS, after notice as required by law, the Planning Commission
of the City of Johnson held a hearing, and after hearing arguments for
and against granting of such variance and the Planning Commission of
the City of Johnson in its wisdom,feeling that the purpose of the
Ordinance would be more properly carried out by amending said Ordinance
rather than granting a variance thereto.
NOW, THEREOFRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JOHNSON, WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS:
Otdinance No. 23, Section I, Sub-Section 4: Industrial is
hereby amended and as so amended shall read as follows:

(a) Permitted uses: Any use involving manufacture, compounding,
processing, packaging, assembling of products, storage of
broke materials, agritultural processing, and open:storage yard
(b) Set Back-Front - 25 feet. Off Street parking - adequate

off street parking shall be provided for employees and customers

in all other particulars, approved and confirmed.
An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance
shall be in full force and effect after its passage, approval and publication
and the recording of a certifiedcopy thereof.
