AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIANCE FOR R-2 LOTS
IN THE LANHAM HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION TO THE TOWN
OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS; TO DELCARE AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a request was made on February 14, 1989, by the
developers of Lanham Heights Subdivision, for a variance on
certain R-2 lots in the Lanham Heights Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of Johnson, Arkansas, set March
13, 1989, as the date to hear the request for the variance, and
having heard the request from the developers and other matters
before the Council, and there being no objections, the Council
voted to set April 11, 1989, as the date for approving an
ordinance allowing the variances as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL. FOR THE
TOWN OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Based on the preliminary plat presented to the
Town Council of Johnson, Arkansas, the Council approves a minimum
square footage of 7,344 feet for R-2 lots in the Lanham Heights
Subdivision.
SECTION 2: A variance is hereby granted to the developers
of Lanham Heights Subdivision to allow certain lots in the
subdivision as shown in the preliminary plat to be 72- feet in
frontage.
SECTION 3: EMERGENCY CLAUSE. It is hereby declared that an
emergency exists and this ordinance being necessary for the
preservation of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens
of the Town of Johnson, Arkansas, shall become effective
immediately upon its passage, approval, and publication.
