WHEREAS, the City desires to obtain for its citizens benefits of road
improvements and access as described and detailed in the attached Interlocal Agreement
with the City of Springdale.
WHEREAS, the Johnson City Council has determined that it is in the best interest
of the City that the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Springdale should be approved
and executed by the City.
WHEREAS, the commitment, financial and otherwise, set out in the Interlocal
Agreement will produce a significant return to our City and its citizens both in terms of
accessibility and commerce.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JOHNSON, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. That the attached Interlocal Agreement with the City of Springdale is
hereby approved and accepted.
2. The Mayor and Recorder/Treasurer are authorized to take such, steps as are
necessary to execute the Interlocal Agreement and to cause to come to realization the
anticipated benefits/improvements for the citizens of Johnson.
